What is group therapy?
Group involves anywhere between 6-8 members and 1-2 leaders who will meet each week for 75 minutes. Groups offer members the opportunity to learn more about themselves and others in a safe space and can often lead to increased self-awareness, a better sense of self, decreased feelings of isolation, and improved social and problem-solving skills.
What are process groups?
Process groups go deeper than support groups as they invite members to share their “here and now” reactions to other members and interactions occurring within the group. The opportunity to respectfully “be real” helps members better understand themselves, how they come across to others, and often leads to improvements in interpersonal functioning outside of group.
